 - INSTITUTIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

The Vice President's office is responsible for the relations with other business orgnizations, both domestic, such as the -CEOE, FOMENTO DEL TRABAJO, CONSEJO INTERTEXTIL, CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE- and international, like - EUROCOTON, EURATEX, INTERNATIONAL TEXTILE MANUFACTURERS FEDERATION (ITMF)-. Likewise, in the relations with any type of government entity, AITPA participates as a representative and defender of the cotton textile sector, and thereby expands its possibilities for action, influence or service.

The Executive Vice-President is also charged with international trade relations of both a bilateral as well as multilateral nature, which cover all of the Association's foreign activities except those linked to overseas promotion.

Salvador Maluquer - Executive Vice-President

 - COLLECTIVE NEGOTIATION AND LABOUR CONSULTATION

This department participates in negotiations on the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Textile and Make-up Industry and the Cotton Process Textile Sector.

It provides associated companies with information on the practical application in the companies of general labour laws and specifically those having to do with contracting, salary, working times, Social Security contributions and benefits, safety and health in the workplace, work training and anything else covered in the collective bargaining agreement.

 - LEGAL INFORMATION AND TAX ADVISORY SERVICE

This is the department dedicated mainly to tax matters and general legal advising.

It participates in negotiations to configure the tax laws which affect the company and advises in their application.

It advises in the application of environmental regulations and ecological labels / quality.

It facilitates access to the various official legislative publications.

It also covers matters of labelling, design protection and international contracting.

 - INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION AND EXPORT SUPPORT

The aim of this department is to promote and increase the presence of associated companies abroad. And we try to achieve this goal through this different services:

  • organization and coordination of all different types of promotion activities: direct and inverse trade missions, grouped participation in trade shows, advertising and image campaigns, study missions, market studies, etc..

  • advising and information: on markets (potential costumers, distribution channels,  custom tariffs,trade shows, etc…) as well as available subsidies for foreign trade.

  • cooperation and collaboration with different sectorial organizations: administrative bodies, international fair organizers, worldwide textile associations… 

  • processing sponsorship for the international activities through the governmental institutions.

  • organization of seminars: on markets, fashion trends, events of interest, etc.

 - STATISTICAL AND INCENTIVE INFORMATION

This department collects, elaborates and divulgate economic information relative to the cotton textile sector in the widest range of Textile-Make-up subject matter, as refers to production, foreign trade and economic situation.

Researches are elaborated on demand for companies. These reports may help to orient their decisions in various areas.

It represents Spain on various European and international statistical committees.

 - ADMINISTRATION

The Administration Department is responsible for managing the Association's economic resources, especially those contributed by associate companies.

It safeguards the social funds and assets, the patrimony of the cotton sector.

It verifies the application of the budgets with the aim to fulfil the entity's social objective.

It handles all matters which emerge in the relations with associates.

It provides administrative infrastructure which supports the other departments.
